PREPARATION METHOD

Turn real experience into clear leadership answers.

Start with the interview landscape, study how a genuine answer works, then build and practise an answer grounded in your own career.

HOW THE LIBRARY WAS BUILT

Research first.
Then repeated practice.

I prepared on and off for a year to target EM and Senior EM roles at MAANG and other leading technology companies outside India, focusing primarily on Europe and Singapore.

I spent more than 80 hours digging through Blind, Glassdoor, LeetCode and similar sources to identify questions reported from real engineering management interviews. I also spoke with close friends already working at MAANG companies to understand their interview loops, evaluation process and the kinds of questions they encountered.

The resulting preparation system combines breadth—knowing the landscape—with depth: choosing real situations, examining the decisions made and preparing for probing follow-up questions.

THE FIVE-STAGE FLOW

From awareness to interview practice

Each stage reduces a different kind of uncertainty without asking candidates to memorise model answers.

01

See the complete landscape

Browse recurring questions across the major EM and Senior EM competencies so you know what an interview loop may explore.

02

Study a real answer

Read original preparation notes based on situations that were actually lived through—not a generic script written to sound impressive.

03

Understand the signals

Identify the judgment, ownership, scope, trade-offs and reflection that make an answer credible at EM or Senior EM level.

04

Build your own answer

Choose evidence from your career and shape it into a clear answer without inventing details or copying somebody else’s story.

05

Practise the follow-ups

Test the parts interviewers are most likely to probe: your decisions, alternatives, measurable impact and what you would change.

THE CORE PRINCIPLE

Use examples to understand the bar—not as scripts to memorise.

  • Keep the situation and evidence genuinely yours.
  • Make your personal decisions and trade-offs explicit.
  • Calibrate scope and impact to the level you are targeting.
  • Prepare honest reflection, including what you would change.
